Warm Rays of Sunshine

Warm rays of sunshine

caress the earth

green and fertile

awakening particles

 glorious site

that first morning sun

showering it's splendour

on country fields

soft and gentle
a tender touch
awakening all life
to another day 

 wintry mornings

 cause icicles to form

imprisoning the motes

awaiting the dawn

freed from their hold

of water turned cold

Ah!! so welcome

  warm rays of the sun

regal production

this life - so giving

promoting growth, abundance

and beauty

imagining the 'little folk'

bunked down for protection

over the night

of winter's pruning

 morning sun's rays

embracing their essence
carrying the energy
of Sun God's wisdom

  joy, full, in their heart
they give thanks 
for their blessings

  understanding
what they've been given

 filled to the brim 
with life
they work
supporting the balance
on the Earth we live

 golden rays of the sun
now spread even further
can feel the energy
of life unfolding

 so much majesty
all around us
can I stop for a moment
give thanks
for this bounty
