The Silence of the Morning

 The silence of the morning
has always chased my soul
as long as I remember
I've sought the stillness that vibrates

It touched me in ways
I know - I never understood
it's caresses felt like God himself
cradling me in his arms

So much beauty exists here
silent - no - a choir
of voices not familiar
celestial sounds abound

My ears crave this silence
my heart yearns in size
this 'music' seems to come from me
what have we truly been gifted

Like the story of the Musk deer
forever he keeps searching
intoxicating aroma's follow
not knowing the source
of their beauty

Giving thanks to the morning
I remember
all of life is serving
the one great source
of all life
their example I can follow
